Meet Sam – Founder, Club Builder & Former Golf Professional
Over 15 years in the golf industry taught Sam one thing: quality equipment built to your swing makes a real difference. Therefore, he launched Precision Golf Works to give local golfers access to true custom-shop quality — without the shortcuts often found at big-box retailers.
My approach is simple:
- Build with intention
- Check everything twice
- Match specs across your set
- Treat every repair like it’s going into my own bag
Whether you need a tune-up or precision matching across all 14 clubs, I’ll make sure you walk away with equipment that actually fits the way you swing.

⛳ Brand-new clubs? Have the specs checked.
The loft and lie listed on your order aren’t proof of what’s actually in your bag. Manufacturing and assembly tolerances mean even new clubs can arrive with specs that don’t match what you ordered.
Why does that matter? Incorrect lofts can create uneven distance gaps, and incorrect lie angles can affect shot direction. You could end up trying to fix your swing to compensate for an equipment issue.
That’s why I recommend having your clubs built—or checked—by a qualified club builder. A proper inspection means measuring the actual clubs, comparing them with your intended specs, and determining whether adjustments are needed.
At Precision Golf Works, I can check your lofts and lies so you know what you’re playing. 🔧

🏆 BEST-SELLING DRIVER SHAFTS OF 2026… SO FAR!
What driver shafts are golfers actually walking out of Precision Golf Works with?
With all the options available today, it’s easy to get caught up in what’s newest, most expensive, or getting the most hype. But the best shaft is the one that actually fits your swing.
These are some of the driver shafts that have been finding their way into the most bags at Precision Golf Works in 2026.
What I love about seeing the sales numbers is that there isn’t one shaft that works for everybody. Different golfers need different weights, profiles, launch characteristics, feel, and stability.
That’s exactly why we fit instead of guess.
⛳ Want to find out which shaft performs best for YOUR swing?
Book a driver fitting at Precision Golf Works in Port Orange and test different shafts using real launch-monitor data.

⛳ LESSONS OR A CLUB FITTING — WHICH WILL HELP YOU PLAY BETTER GOLF FASTER?
If your goal is to actually become a better golfer, lessons are usually the best place to start. Better technique, better contact, and a more repeatable swing will do more for your game than simply buying new equipment.
BUT… there’s an important exception. 👇
If your clubs are extremely poorly fit for you, they can actually encourage you to make compensations in your swing.
❌ Clubs that are too long or too short
❌ Lie angles that don’t match your delivery
❌ Shafts that are a poor match
❌ Swingweights that make the club difficult to control
❌ A driver setup that works against your natural delivery
Your body is pretty good at figuring out how to make the golf ball go where you want it to go. The problem is that sometimes that means developing compensations to overcome equipment that doesn’t fit.
That’s why I don’t look at it as lessons VS. fittings.
🏌️ Lessons improve the golfer.
🔧 Fittings make sure the equipment works with the golfer.
When both are working together, you give yourself a much better opportunity to improve without fighting your equipment.
At Precision Golf Works, we offer both professional golf instruction and data-driven club fitting, so we can look at the entire picture — your swing AND your equipment.

🚨 IS YOUR GOLF GRIP FAKE? 🚨
Counterfeit golf grips are more common than you might think—especially when buying online from third-party sellers or when the price seems way too good to be true.
In this video, I break down some of the things you can look for when trying to spot a counterfeit grip, including:
🔍 Logo, lettering & printing quality
✋ Rubber texture and overall feel
⚖️ Weight and consistency
🎨 Color and finish differences
📦 Packaging and other small details
A fake grip might look pretty convincing at first glance, but once you compare it to the real thing, the differences can become much easier to spot.
And remember: your grips are your only connection to the golf club. Quality matters!
If you’re unsure about the grips on your clubs, bring them by Precision Golf Works and I’ll be happy to take a look. We carry and professionally install grips from Golf Pride, Lamkin, Winn, SuperStroke and more. (Precision Golf Works)

Buying new clubs? Don’t assume they arrived exactly to spec. 👀⛳
Even brand-new clubs can have inconsistencies in loft, lie angle, length, swingweight, or overall build quality. Small differences might not sound like much, but they can affect your distance gaps, ball flight, feel, and consistency.
If your clubs weren’t built and checked by a professional club builder, it’s worth having them inspected before assuming everything is exactly where it should be.
🔧 That’s why I’ll spot-check your clubs for FREE at Precision Golf Works.
Bring a few clubs in and I’ll check key specs to see if everything looks right. If we find something that needs attention, we can talk about the best way to get your set dialed in.
